Is MyBuildPlanner free?

Yes. Every planner is free to use with no sign-up. We keep it free through optional product links and ads — using them is never required.

How accurate are the material and cost estimates?

Quantities follow standard construction rules of thumb and common stock sizes, with a waste allowance you can adjust. Costs use national-average prices, so treat the range as a planning baseline — your local prices, grade and season will shift the final number. Always verify against a real takeoff before buying.

Are these plans code-compliant?

They are planning tools, not engineered drawings. We flag common code-sensitive items like joist spans and footing depth, but building codes vary by jurisdiction. Confirm requirements with your local building department and pull any required permits.

Can I print or save my plan?

Yes. Each builder has a print button that outputs a clean, single-sheet summary you can print or save as a PDF. Your inputs are also stored in the page URL, so you can bookmark or share an exact configuration.

Do you store my projects or personal data?

No accounts and no server-side storage today. Everything runs in your browser, and your configuration lives in the shareable URL. Saved accounts are on the roadmap.
